Floral design for elopements in Tuscany
The bespoke design of Ezio De Angelis
Whether you are dreaming of an elopement, an intimate escape or a ceremony curated in every detail, I design tailor‑made floral arrangements that combine Tuscan craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic.
My work is dedicated to those who seek authentic, measured beauty: I bring the same level of care to a bridal bouquet for two, to a flower arch suspended over the hills, or to a botanical scenography overlooking the vineyards of Chianti, the Val d’Orcia or the Tuscan coast.
I work with Italian and international couples who choose Tuscany, Umbria and Central Italy for their elopement, personally following every phase of the floral project, in dialogue with the venue, the photographer and – when present – the wedding planner.
Elopement in Tuscany:
the essence of freedom
Elopement is the essence of freedom: choosing to celebrate your bond away from everything, in places where nature and history come together.
Whether it is a hidden village in the Sienese hills, a cliff in Maremma or a secret terrace in Umbria, I bring my floral artistry wherever there is a story to tell.
With my Method of Intentional Floral Beauty, flowers become a precious, silent witness to an unforgettable moment: a few gestures, carefully chosen, to create an atmosphere that truly feels like you.

Scenography in motion:
from hills to coast
Designing an elopement requires a different kind of sensitivity: flexibility, discretion and a deep knowledge of the territory.
I create botanical scenography that blends naturally with the surrounding landscape, respecting the timing of light and of the day.
Whether you come from Italy or from abroad for an elopement in Tuscany, I coordinate the floral project in dialogue with photographer, wedding planner and venue, so that every detail – from the bouquet to the ceremony arrangements – is harmonious both in real life and in photographs, even in the most remote and evocative locations of Central Italy.
What I can create for your elopement in Tuscany
Every elopement is a different story: a bouquet for two among the olive trees, a flower arch overlooking the Val d'Orcia, a few wild stems resting against a stone wall. I design the floral details of your elopement in Tuscany with the same care I bring to a full wedding — bespoke, seasonal, and always in dialogue with the place you have chosen.
Let's talk about your elopement in Tuscany
If you are dreaming of an elopement among Tuscan hills, in a medieval village, in a vineyard or on a terrace overlooking the sea, I can help you imagine how flowers will transform that place into your perfect hideaway.
Tell me where you are coming from, which venue you have chosen (or are considering) and what kind of atmosphere you desire: intimate, romantic, minimal, theatrical.
From these elements I will build a tailor‑made floral proposal, clear and sustainable, designed for two people and for a memory that will last over time.

Frequently asked questions
Does Ezio De Angelis create floral arrangements for elopements in Tuscany?
Yes, it is one of the activities I follow with the most attention and satisfaction. I work with Italian and international couples who choose Tuscany — and more broadly Central Italy — for an intimate elopement. I personally handle every aspect of the floral design: from the bouquet to the ceremony scenography, from the details for the dinner to the elements planned for the photographs. Every proposal grows out of a real conversation about your story and the place you have chosen.
How much do flowers for an elopement in Tuscany cost?
It depends on what you have in mind, the venue and the season. For an essential elopement — bouquet, buttonhole and a few compositions for the ceremony — it is possible to work with a more contained budget compared to a traditional wedding. For more elaborate scenography, such as floral arches or arrangements for the dinner, the cost grows accordingly. I work on a personalised quote: I ask you to tell me about the venue, the date and the atmosphere you are looking for, and from there I build a clear, tailor-made proposal with no surprises.
Is it possible to organise a floral elopement in a remote or unconventional location in Tuscany?
It is exactly the kind of work I prefer. A choice spot in the Maremma, a field of vines in the Chianti, a secret terrace in Umbria, a medieval village lost in the Sienese hills — I have worked in many places well outside the standard circuits, and I know how to adapt floral design to contexts that have no easy logistics. I bring the flowers where they are needed, with discretion and respect for the environment.
Does an elopement need many flowers or just a few?
An elopement does not need "many" flowers — it needs the right ones, in the right place. The strength of an elopement lies in its essence: a well-considered composition, in dialogue with the landscape, is worth a hundred arrangements placed without a guiding idea. My approach is the Method of Intentional Floral Beauty: every choice has a purpose, nothing is placed just to fill a space. The result is something poetic, measured and true.
Can I have a bridal bouquet for my elopement even if I am not having a traditional ceremony?
Absolutely yes. The bouquet is not an accessory for a formal ceremony — it is a gesture, an object you hold in your photographs and that reminds you of the moment forever. The proposal is based on your story, seasonal flowers, the colours of the day and the length of the celebration: an elopement can include bouquet and buttonhole and a few photographic sessions, and each element is carefully thought through.
Do you collaborate with photographers and wedding planners for elopements in Tuscany?
Yes, it is almost always the ideal situation. I like to work in dialogue with the photographer — because flowers must be beautiful in real life but also in photographs — and with the wedding planner or officiant, when one is present. I am used to coordinating the floral side with the needs of other professionals, respecting the timing of the light, the movements of the couple and the logistics of the venue. If you do not yet have a photographer or planner, I can suggest someone I trust.
How many weeks in advance should I contact you for an elopement?
Earlier is better — but there is no need to panic. For an elopement with a firm date and a chosen venue, I like to have at least two to three months' notice to work calmly and guarantee the best seasonal flowers. For more urgent productions, it depends on the period and the availability: write to me anyway and we will assess together what is feasible and how to optimise the project within the time available.
Do you also follow elopements for international couples?
Yes, and they represent an important part of my work. I frequently work with couples arriving from abroad — especially from Northern Europe, the United States and Australia — who choose Tuscany for its beauty and Italian artisan craftsmanship. Communication takes place entirely in English, and I follow the entire project remotely until the day of the event, when I am present in person.
Which areas of Tuscany do you cover for elopements?
All of Tuscany, with no excluded areas. I work regularly in the Chianti, the Val d'Orcia, the Crete Senesi, in the Maremma, on the Florentine hills, in the Lucchesia and along the coast. On request I also travel to Umbria and the rest of Central Italy. If you have a particular venue in mind — even outside these areas — tell me about the project and we will see how to organise it.
What makes your floral approach for an elopement different from a traditional florist?
A traditional florist works to standard products; I work on projects. For every elopement I start from listening — your story, the place, the light, the time you have — and I build an arrangement that has a precise sense in that context. I do not apply ready-made formulas. I work alone, I personally follow every project, and the result is something that belongs only to you. This is what I mean by "sartorial design" — I do not sell flowers, I design an experience.
