Floral styling for photo shoots and editorials
For a photo shoot in Tuscany, I select flowers that hold up well under artificial light and outdoors for at least 6–8 hours: the botanical choice is not only aesthetic — it is technical. Nature is the architectural element that transforms a set into a piece of visual art. I collaborate with photographers, agencies and brands to design floral scenography that enhances the mood of the shot and the personality of the subject.
Whether it is a fashion editorial, a commercial catalogue, an advertising campaign or an auteur portrait, my work is planned to dialogue with the light, the lens and the overall styling, both in studio and on location in Florence, Tuscany and Central Italy.
From vision to framing
Working on set means understanding production timing, the photographer’s sensitivity and the final goal of the project: editorial, catalogue, campaign, portrait. I bring my experience in floral design to serve creativity, offering consultancy from the choice of botanical textures to their precise positioning on set.
I use only selected flowers and seasonal materials suited to the light and temperature conditions, to ensure maximum durability and visual impact under studio lights or outdoors.
When I can support you
with floral styling
I work on fashion editorials, where the floral set enters into dialogue with stylists and creative directors for editorial services, magazines, and lookbooks. I handle catalogues and ADV campaigns, building botanical scenographies for advertising, e-commerce, and still life. I follow author portraits, bringing flowers and natural elements that express the subject's personality, in studio or on location. And I work on brand content and social media, with targeted arrangements for photo and video content for websites, social channels, and press materials.
How I work on a photo set in Tuscany
When a photographer or agency contacts me for a shoot in Tuscany, the first thing I ask is not "what flowers do you want" — it's "what light do you have, what time do you shoot, and how long does the set run". That's not curiosity: that's the foundation of the project.
A flower that works in an arrangement does not necessarily work under studio lights or in full summer sun in Siena. For floral styling on set, I work almost exclusively with material selected for resistance, chromatic performance under calibrated light, and durability in the actual conditions of the shoot — whether that's a studio in Florence, a villa in Chianti, or an open field in Val d'Orcia.
For editorial shoots and advertising campaigns in Tuscany, I also manage botanical consistency across scenes: a coherent palette, recognisable textures, proportions that read well in frame. I never work "by volume" — I work on the overall visual project.
For outdoor shoots, I have direct knowledge of environmental conditions across Florence, Chianti and the Tuscan countryside in every season: temperature, humidity, available natural light. This allows me to choose the right floral material without unwanted surprises on the day of the shoot.

Creative synergies
I strongly believe in the power of collaboration. I'm open to partnerships with photographers, videographers, stylists, art directors, and brands who share a vision of excellence, to create joint projects that showcase everyone's talent and produce high-quality visual content.
I can be involved right from the concept stage or join an already defined production, adapting the floral design to the needs of the set, budget, and timeline.
Let's talk about your next shoot
If you are planning a photo or video shoot and would like flowers to become an integral part of the visual story, we can design it together. Tell me what kind of project you have in mind – editorial, ADV campaign, catalogue, portrait, social media content – and which atmosphere you imagine: minimal, romantic, theatrical, essential. From these elements I will build a tailor‑made floral styling proposal, clear and sustainable, balancing creativity with production requirements.
Frequently asked questions
What is floral styling for photo shoots, and how does it differ from regular floral decoration?
Floral styling for shoots is a design discipline in its own right. It's not about "putting some nice flowers together" — it's about building a botanical set that works with the light, the photographer's lens, and the overall mood of the project. Every texture, every colour, and every empty space is designed to function within the frame, not just in the physical space.
What kind of professionals do you collaborate with for photo shoots?
I work with photographers, videographers, stylists, art directors, and brands. I can come on board at the concept stage or adapt to a project that's already defined. What matters is that there's a shared vision: my contribution works best when there's creative dialogue — not when I'm simply asked to "bring something green."
What types of shoots can you be involved in?
I work on fashion editorials, catalogues and advertising campaigns, fine art portraits, and content for brands and social media. If your project needs botanical elements that actually speak — not just sit there — we can find a way to work together.
Do you work in studio as well as on location?
Both. In studio I'm comfortable managing the demands of artificial lighting and tight production schedules. On location — especially around Florence, Tuscany, and Central Italy — I know the light conditions and temperatures that affect how flowers hold up during a shoot.
How do you choose the flowers for a photo shoot?
I work almost exclusively with selected seasonal flowers, chosen with the set conditions in mind — light, temperature, the length of the shooting day. Not all flowers hold equally well under studio lights or in full summer heat outdoors. Every choice is intentional, never casual.
Can you contribute to the creative concept, or do you only handle execution?
Both. If you bring me just a date and an atmosphere, I can develop a floral proposal from scratch. If you already have a defined brief, I adapt and work to strengthen your vision. I don't need to be at the centre of the project — I need the project to make sense.
Do you work with international brands or agencies producing shoots in Tuscany?
Yes. I regularly work with international clients who choose Tuscany as a location for photo and video productions. I communicate in Italian and in English. If you're organising a shoot in Italy and need a floral stylist who knows the territory and works with artisanal precision, let's talk.
