Wedding flowers in Tuscany and Florence — Bespoke floral design for your day
I've been working with flowers in Florence since 1995. Thirty years in the workshop, in historic
villas, castles, old farmhouses and estate homes across Tuscany. In all that time I've learned
one thing: the best flowers aren't the most beautiful ones on the market — they're the ones
chosen for you, for that specific day, that specific light, and that specific place.
I'm Ezio De Angelis. If you're looking for a wedding florist in Tuscany, this is what I do: I design
bespoke floral arrangements. Every project starts from scratch, from listening — not from a
catalogue.
The Intentional Floral Beauty Method, applied to your wedding
There's no "Tuscany wedding package" with my name on it. There's a method, and I apply it
every single time, from the beginning. It's called the Intentional Floral Beauty Method and it works in three phases.
Emotional Listening. Before I talk about flowers, I listen to you. Your story, the venue you've
chosen, the feeling you want your guests to carry with them. I'm not looking for a style to apply
— I'm looking for your voice. This first step is the most important part of the whole process.
Intentional Floral Design. I translate what I've heard into a concrete project. Every flower,
every colour, every structure and every empty space has a precise reason. Nothing is placed
just to fill a gap. I study the light of the venue, the rhythm of the day, the key moments —
ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing — and build a botanical journey that holds everything
together. Experience Direction. On your wedding day, I don't send someone in my place. I personally
oversee the installation and the floral direction, moment by moment. Because a beautiful
arrangement that's managed poorly on the day isn't work done well.
Seasonal flowers, guaranteed quality
I source the flowers personally — from local growers and the trusted markets I've worked with for years. Choosing seasonal flowers isn't a limitation, it's a guarantee. Seasonal flowers last longer, smell better, cost less, and have a character that out-of-season blooms simply can't replicate.
For a summer wedding in Tuscany, where you're often celebrating outdoors and temperatures are high, this matters enormously. A flower that holds up through the whole day, that's still fragrant at dinner and hasn't wilted by the dancing — that's part of the experience you're building. When the project allows it, I look for more sustainable choices and work to reduce waste.
Forme, beauty has to be conscious too.

Where I work: from the Chianti hills to the Val d'Orcia
I work throughout Tuscany—from Florence to Chianti, from Val d'Orcia to Siena, from Maremma to the Pisan hills.
Every location has its own voice, and my work always begins by listening to that voice. The light in a villa on the Arno River is different from that of a farm in the Val d'Orcia. The flowers that thrive in an ancient cloister aren't the same ones that breathe well in an open garden overlooking the Chianti region.
That's why I don't bring the same project everywhere: I bring a method, and then I build from scratch each time.
I've worked in historic villas such as Villa La Massa, Villa San Michele in Fiesole, and Villa Olmi. In Chianti, between Borgo San Felice and Castello Gabbiano. In Val d'Orcia, among stone villages and open landscapes. In Siena, between the Certosa di Pontignano and the Sienese hills. If you're considering a location and want to understand how a floral design might work, contact me—this is where the best work comes from.

What your wedding floral service includes
I take care of everything — the full floral wardrobe for your wedding, designed as one coherent system, not as a list of separate items bolted together at the end.
Bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony décor, arches and floral installations, centrepieces, floral runners, the head table, cake flowers, cocktail hour and reception styling. Every element is designed in relation to the others, to the venue, and to the
light of the day. I don't work on two weddings in parallel on the same day. When I take on a commitment, that
commitment is total —
from the first conversation to the final installation.
How working with me works
The first step is a consultation. Not a quick call — a real working conversation, where you tell me about the venue, the date, the atmosphere you want to create, and your actual budget. From that, I build a bespoke proposal — three options, varying in scale, complexity and investment — so you can choose the level that feels right for you. I don't have a price list online because every wedding is different. What I can tell you is that I work in the mid-to-high range, with a minimum budget below which I genuinely can't guarantee the quality of materials and the result of the installation. If you come to me because you like how I work and you trust me, we'll find the right solutionto gether. If you come to me to save money, you're probably not in the right place. I'm happy to work with wedding planners and agencies when there's mutual respect and a shared idea of quality. I have established working relationships with several agencies who understand the way I work.

Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I contact you for a wedding?
The sooner the better — especially for summer and spring weddings in Tuscany, which can book up one or even two years ahead. As a general rule, I'd suggest getting in touch at least six to eight months before your date. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway: if I'm available, I'll find a way to do it well.
Do you only work in Tuscany, or can you travel?
My base is Florence and I work mainly in Tuscany, but I travel anywhere in Italy and abroad when the project warrants it and the logistics are covered. I've worked in many venues outside the region without ever compromising on quality.
How many couples do you work with each year?
A limited number, by choice. I don't work on multiple events at the same time — every couple gets my full attention, from design to installation. It's one of the reasons it's worth getting in touch early.
How does the first contact work? Is the consultation free?
The first step is a dedicated consultation where I listen: you tell me about the venue, the date, the atmosphere you want to create, and your budget. From that, I build a bespoke proposal. It's not a quick call — it's a real working moment, and I treat it as such.
Do you do the bridal bouquet as well, or just the venue styling?
I take care of everything: bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony décor, centrepieces, arches,
installations, floral runners, the head table. Every element is designed as part of the whole — nothing is added separately as an afterthought.
Can I ask for a specific style — boho, romantic, minimalist?
Of course, I always listen to style preferences. But my approach doesn't start from a trend — it starts from you, from the
venue and from the season. Style is a natural consequence of those three things, not a label to apply. If you love the boho look but you're getting married in a Renaissance castle, what we create together will be something entirely its own — not a forced overlay.
Do you use artificial or preserved flowers?
I work almost exclusively with fresh flowers, sourced personally from local growers and trusted markets. The freshness, the fragrance and the aliveness of real flowers can't be replicated — and for a wedding, that difference is everything.
How do you choose the flowers? Can I have specific flowers even if they're not in season?
I select flowers based on the season, the venue and the colour palette of the project.Working with seasonal flowers isn't a constraint — it's a quality choice: they last longer, smell better, cost less and have more character. If you have a flower you love that's out of season, let's talk: sometimes it's possible to source it, but never at the expense of the overall quality.
Do you have a price list online?
No — and it couldn't really be any other way. Every wedding is different in scale, venue, number of floral elements and type of installations. The cost depends on all of that. What I can tell you is that I work in the mid-to-high range, with a
minimum budget, and that my proposals are always clear and detailed. If you write to me with the key details, I'll give you a direct, honest answer.
Do you work with wedding planners?
Yes, happily — when there's mutual respect and a genuine alignment in the way we work. I have established relationships with several agencies who share my standards. If you're a wedding planner looking for a reliable floral partner for aTuscany venue, get in touch.
Do you work with civil ceremonies as well as religious ones?
Yes, both. The type of ceremony doesn't change my approach — it changes the logistics and the context. For civil
ceremonies in private villas or non-religious venues, I have a lot of experience and I know the installation dynamics well.
How much does a wedding florist cost in Tuscany?
It's the most common question and the hardest to answer honestly. The floral budget for a wedding in Tuscany depends on many things: number of guests, number of spaces to style, venue type, season and complexity of the
project. What I can say is that a complete floral project for an average wedding at a Tuscan villa — ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner — starts at several thousand euros. Write to me with your details and I'll give you a straight answer, no runaround
