Cappella di Vitaleta – Floral Design in Val d’Orcia

Cappella di Vitaleta is a small chapel set among cypress trees and the hills of Val d’Orcia, where the surrounding landscape becomes part of the ceremony. In a place with such a strong identity, floral design needs to work with the simple architecture and the open views rather than compete with them.

Working here also means respecting the practical conditions of the site: limited spaces, timings and the rules governing the use of the interior and exterior. The floral project therefore has to be developed around what is realistically possible, the type of ceremony, the season and the logistics. The aim is to support the moment with flowers while allowing the landscape and the chapel to remain fully present.
