The imperial table – a floral journey for the wedding dinner
An imperial table is one of the most scenic ways of sharing a meal: a single long table that gathers all the guests together. In weddings in Tuscany, I interpret it as a true continuous floral journey, running along the whole length of the table without blocking the view or conversation. Flowers, foliage, candles and lights are woven together with a tailor‑made technique, so that every seat has its own small portion of beauty.
When I design an imperial table, I always start from the width of the table, the height of the flowers, the position of plates, glasses and candles: the challenge is to find the balance between richness and clarity. My work is to transform the banquet into a continuous sensorial experience, taking care of details and logistics so that the table is strong in photographs but comfortable to live for those who bring it to life. The result is wedding floral arrangements that make the imperial table feel like a landscape of light and flowers.
