Sustainable floriculture rests on a delicate balance between environment, economy and the world of work. From an environmental point of view, I try to favour, whenever possible, more respectful cultivation methods, careful use of water and a reduction in disposable materials. This means saying goodbye, for example, to a lot of unnecessary plastics and synthetic floral foam, choosing instead more natural or biodegradable supports designed not to leave a heavy trace after the event.

Then there is the economic and social side: supporting local growers in Tuscany and beyond means allowing those who cultivate flowers with care to continue doing so in a dignified way. Behind every flower there are hands, skills, families. Knowing where a rose or a dahlia comes from also means respecting those who have devoted time and work to that beauty. My first glance always goes to the land around me: nurseries near Florence, the current season, the colours of the Tuscan landscape.
