For many, the engagement promise is “just” a bureaucratic step. In reality, it is the first official yes to a life together, shared with witnesses and the people closest to you. It is a more intimate day than the wedding itself and, precisely for this reason, often a more authentic one – less filtered by the emotion of the big event.

In my work as a floral designer in Florence, I see the promise as a small preview of the wedding day: an opportunity to begin telling your story with flowers in a simple yet thoughtful way, in harmony with the season and with the atmosphere of the place you have chosen.

Formally, the engagement promise seals your intention to marry in front of the civil registrar.
